Session Title

The Hourglass Organization: Gen Z expectations, Fast tracks, and the New Divide in Work

Session Overview

This session explores how careers are splitting into two groups — a few fast-moving stars and many stuck in routine work. Gen Z, who value balance and purpose, often get left out of these fast tracks and labeled as less (of many things). What if its not talent, but unequal effort expectations, that fuel this divide? What serve as fast tracks in companies, and how are GenZ's values conflicting with the tracks? Additionally, the McDonalidization and the AI-accelerated hourglass organizations means that it is imperative that leaders need to rebuild fast tracks, while making work sustainable, fair, and future-ready.
